47 students graduated from Goodwill Primary School on Friday 30th June 2017, to ‘Embrace the Future’7/3/2017 Cassier Cadette was declared valedictorian, and took the subject prize for Language Arts and the School Spirit award, as forty-seven (47) students graduated from the Goodwill Primary School on Friday 30th June 2017, under the theme ‘Learn from the past, live for the present, and Embrace the Future.’
Cadette also shared the Drama Award with Brentwood Etienne, and the Leadership Award with Nyabel Pacquette and Jaheed Harrison. D’ Vaughn Rodney won the prize for Mathematics, a Bursary Award, and an ‘Efficiency in Class’ Award. Joel Gabory won the prize for Science, as well as the Scholarship Award, and an Award for Application. Marcellus Lee got the subject prize for Social Studies. Hilkiah Constant, Micah Smith, Nyabel Pacquette, Jaden Jones, Hadassah Constant and Jaheed Harrison, each received Awards for making the ‘honor roll’. Valedictorian Cassier Cadette said, “We the class of 2017, are a powerhouse of innovation and creativity. We will push boundaries to make the world a better place, even in small ways. So, my advice to you the class of 2017, is always remember where you came from, and where you are going. Congratulations to all of you, who have graduated with me.” Romario Douglas won Best Male Athlete; Vernella Benjamin won Best Female Athlete; Best Male Footballer went to Dernel Seraphine; and Jodee Leatham received Best Female Footballer award. Jenilia Thomas won Best Netballer; Florian Henderson won Best Male Basketballer, and Peter Elwin won Best Cricketer. Vernella Henderson warded ‘Most Outstanding Female Sports Personality’; and Most Outstanding Male Sports Personality went to Romario Douglas. Meanwhile, ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ went to Nixia Matthew. Featured Speaker Tricia Lugay told the awardees; “Let me also advise you that you are not too young to have goals. Use the practice of goal setting to keep you focused, to encourage you to work hard toward your future. I encourage you to take a moment to plan out a goal; remember it, and use it as a roadmap to your future. Always know within yourself, that you are capable of achieving this goal”.
