80 Cruise Tourism Service Providers to benefit from FCCA endorsed Training to boost Customer Service7/4/2017 Eighty (80) Cruise Tourism Service Providers such as Tour Guides, Hair braiders, Vendors, Taxi Drivers and Tourism Information Officers, are expected to benefit from a 2-day FCCA endorsed training, geared at enhancing customer service.
The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), will host the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) endorsed Aquila Customer Service & Frontline Destination Training, from 5th to 6th July 2017, at the Dominica State College (DSC). According to a release, the training is to be conducted in two parts; Frontline Customer Service Training and Shore Excellence Training, will enable the destination to understand the role of the port, destination, and tour operators, in the success of the Dominica’s cruise industry; examine the cruise lines’ expectations; learn how shore excursions work, their importance for the cruise industry, and present the best ways to provide excellent customer service. The DDA is convinced this workshop will positively motivate service providers, and prepare them to welcome the thousands of cruise visitors expected on island, for the new 2017/2018 cruise season and beyond. The training will be facilitated by Aquila Center of Excellence personnel, Beth Hatt. Aquila is the exclusive training partner of the FCCA. With over thirty-five (35) years’ experience in the travel industry, the Company has presented workshops on Shore Excellence, in over a dozen countries throughout the Caribbean and Central America.
