9 dynamic artistes move on as 2017 Calypso Semi-Finals thrill bumper crowd of exhilarated patrons

​Nine (9) dynamic artistes move on to the final competition, as the 2017 Calypso Semi-Finals, thrilled a bumper crowd of exhilarated patrons, at the Newtown Savannah on Saturday night, 11th February 2017.
 
As always, Q95 was bombarded with calls from listeners based overseas, who totally enjoyed the show and the broadcast, with the usual high complements to Q95 broadcasters Ossie Lewis and Andy Carter, who also ensured that sponsors of the broadcast got value for their money.  
 
One new-comer is among the nine calypsonians who have earned a place to compete against King Dice, for the 2017 Calypso Crown. Twenty calypsonians competed in the semi-finals. The newcomer who made it through, is Stephan from Trinidad.
 
The other eight finalists are Webb, Janae, Karessah, Daddy Chess, Bobb, Tasha P, Stephan, Jaydee and Jenius.
 
The other calypsonians who competed in the semi-finals are; Leona, Checko, Lugarz, Observer, Jamma B, Beno, De Healer, Wizard, Sye, Comforter, and Mighty Omee.
 
The nine successful semi-finalist calypsonians will compete for the calypso crown, at the Eddie Andre Festival City on 25th February 2017.
