A Tweet from the Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary General, His Excellency Luis Almagro Lemes, @Almagro_OEA2015 on February 7, 2019 appears to have drawn concern from the government of Dominica.
The tweet read, “Today I met with Former Ambassador to @UN, Crispin Gregoire, who expressed his concern that the upcoming elections in #Dominica are not free and fair. He also requested @OAS_official assistance to help ensure a level playing field in the country. Dominica’s Minister for Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Francine Baron, wrote to the Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary General, Luis Almagro Lemes, by letter dated February 8, 2019, demanding that he immediately take down the twitter post and tender an apology. Baron’s letter claims that the tweet is, “inaccurate, false and misleading”. Q95 will follow this development and bring you moree on formation as it unfolds.
