Bruno believes soon rather than later; Dominicans will realize the demise of Skerrit. Bruno stated that the Head of State behaving in a manner is unbecoming of his office. According to Bruno, there is no way the Prime Minister and his surrogates can defend the confirmed allegations from the Al Jazeera report. Leader of the United Workers Party Lennox Linton has called for the police to get involved re a recent documentary by Al Jazeera on the sale of diplomatic passports and the funding of elections campaign for diplomatic immunity etcetera. DPSU general secretary Thomas Letang has called for a special fund to aid public officers, not as citizens of Dominica, but as state employees. He made the plea at a DPSU Rally Wednesday. Justice Dr. Irving Andre says the Al Jazeera investigative reports on Dominica’s CBI program, simply confirmed the source of the monies for the DLP election campaign. Justice Andre was speaking on the ‘Eye on Election’ program on Q95, hosted by Sheridan Gregoire. Dr. Andre stated that Dominica as a society and an independent country will pay a significant price, because the world will now know of its front stage position in this nefarious passport selling activities. Andre is of the opinion that the world and the OAS will reflect on the existential threat to Dominica posed by the indiscriminate sale of the country’s passports. Andre also spoke to the contraction and the discreditation the Al Jazeera report presents to the representations made to the OAS in regard to the legitimacy of elections in Dominica. Dr Thomson Fontaine stated that the recently released Al Jazeera investigation reveals that CBI money coming into Dominica is specifically targeted at facilitating the DLP winning elections. Fontaine questioned the DLP Government allowing the tainting of the electoral process. On Tuesday evening, skies and the ground reflected blue as Mr. Pacquette revealed a plethora of plans, visions, ideas for the southern city of Dominica, all in a humble yet impactful manner. He’s main aim to ensure that Grandbay reclaims it socio-economic vibrancy, and move forward with tourism, agriculture, technology, culture, health care and most importantly the Neg Mawon spirit. General Manager of DEXIA Gregoire Thomas says despite some negative connotations made by some persons, as regards the Products of Dominican businesses, DEXIA has seen significant growth in the quality and services offered by Dominican Entrepreneurs. Thomas spoke to the media at a press conference held at the agency’s conference room in Roseau on Tuesday. Meantime, Thomas has announced his agency’s intention to present a proposal to ‘Compete Caribbean’ and to participate in an investment panel, to provide tangible support to Dominican entrepreneurs in the craft sector.
