Local Pastor, Dr. Randy Rodney, has expressed dissatisfaction with the unfair advantage of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and his administration, in delaying and perverting the implementation of proper Electoral Reform in Dominica Following the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Eleventh Parliament on December 16th, 2024, the government held it first reading done for the cabinet’s version of proposed Electoral Laws, namely: the Electoral Commission Bill 2024, House of Assembly Elections Bill 2024, and Registration of Electors Bill 2024. Dr. Rodney calls for the proposed laws of the DLP administration to be null and void and the second and third readings should not occur, as the laws presented to parliament by the DLP administration gives the government-side an advantage in General Elections over any opposition party - such laws defeat the purpose of electoral reform.
