Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has expressed the government’s eagerness to collaborate closely with the Atkinson Village Council and its residents on several key initiatives, including housing development and the eradication of pit latrines. In a recent interview with state-owned radio, following a meeting with the village council, Skerrit emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing land acquisition issues for the construction of resilient housing. He highlighted that land tenure challenges have hindered the ability of potential homeowners in the Atkinson area to receive new homes, a matter the government plans to revisit and resolve.
