In a special edition of Governance and the Economy hosted by Atherton Martin, President of the Builders & Contractors Association of Dominica (BCAD), Anthony LeBlanc, described the entrepreneurial culture in Dominica as one suffering from a “caged bird syndrome”.
Using the great poet and author Maya Angelo’s “why does a caged bird sing” poem as reference for making his point, LeBlanc explained the country’s current entrepreneurial disposition.
He said our opportunities have been caged in Dominica, and it is time for that to change.
He went on to list the strings of the CBI funds that could be utilized.
