Calypso Association Secretary Darryl Bob says registration is now open for the 2018 Calypso competition

​According to the Secretary of the Dominica Calypso Association (DCA) Darryl Bob, the association is now open for registration for the 2018 Calypso competition.
 
Participants are advised that registration can be done at the Calypso House in Bath Estate from 10AM Mondays to Fridays with immediate effect until Wednesday 13, December 2017. The DCA will not be accepting registrations beyond December 13th, therefore, ALL Calypsonians participating in the 2018 season are advised to register by the said date.
 
The Registration fee is $20, Calypsonians and calypso lovers are asked to take note of the Calypso Competition dates for the 2018 season: Eliminations will be on December 16th, 2017, Quarter Finals will be held on January 13, 2018, Semi Finals on January 27, 2018, and the Finals on February 10, 2018.
 
The venues for each event will be announced subsequently. The DCA encourages Calypsonians, writers, musicians, Carnival organizing groups, revelers and Carnival lovers to celebrate the 2018 Carnival season in Traditional Style, and anticipates a peaceful and incident free 2018 Carnival season.
