CCM Treasurer John Blanchard says it is not advisable for government to engage in private sector endeavors, & rather should concentrate on creating the right policy environment to foster economic growth

John Blanchard, the Treasurer of the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM), expressed his belief that the government should refrain from engaging in what is normally private sector endeavors to such an extent that it hampers the smooth functioning of that sector. Instead, he emphasized the importance of the government focusing its efforts on bolstering the economy by implementing appropriate policies, which in turn would provide the necessary conditions for the private sector to thrive. Blanchard said when the private sector prospers, it will yield profits and contribute to the overall growth of the country’s economy.

Blanchard stated that the revenue generated from passport sales should be allocated to different sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, processing, tourism &airport, in order to generate profit.
