Claudia Emmanuel, long standing active member of the Dominica Cancer Society passed on Sunday

​Claudia Emmanuel, long standing active member of the Dominica Cancer Society passed on Sunday 11th June 2017. The cause of her death has not been disclosed. The Cancer Society is therefore mourning the loss of one of its stalwart members, and an important pillar of its organization. She was reportedly the coordinator of their Roseau support Group.
 
She was also said to be viewed as mother, advisor, councilor, mediator, fundraiser, organizer and entertainer, because she played all of those roles all the time. She will clearly be missed by all cancer survivors.
 
She was highly regarded, and reportedly always reached out to members and non-members alike everywhere. She is said to have been maintaining contact with persons by telephone, and was constantly reporting on their progress or their condition.
 
She was said to have had had positive advice for everyone who needed it; whether they were members of the society or otherwise, and was always kind to others.
