Photo: Dominica News Online In a press release dated 20th April 2018, DAIC President Kira Thompson-Aird said, We are excited to share our upcoming events with you, including but not limited to the presentation of the findings of our most recent research “Women in Business”; Grant opportunities; Diagnostic Tools to build our data capacity and market analytics; standardized KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators); inputs to the IMF Article IV Consultation; a Business Continuity Seminar in conjunction with CAIC.
We are pleased to welcome our new Members to DAIC as we continue in our “one voice” mandate. We also welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Ms. Tirmisha Lavenier who has been a great support to our ED and the Chamber. I wish to take this opportunity to thank our Board of Directors and Executive Director for their tireless work both in front and behind the scenes. Their commitment ensures that the DAIC represents you. Phase II, coined by DAIC at the National Consultation, challenges us in a new way. She says the adrenaline of initial clean up and trying to get back to “business as usual” has evolved into frustration with the rate of recovery. DAIC believes that the business community has shown the highest level of resilience and whilst old adages such as “Rome was not built in a day” may seem redundant, history and time have shown us that such regurgitated adages came about for a reason.
