During the week of the WCMF in 2016, Dominica received 6,659 stayover visitors as opposed to 5,405 in 2014. Due to the passage of TS Erika, the WCMF was not staged in 2015. Meanwhile, Cuffy says WCMF organizers are seeking to work with local talent to bring about this year’s event. Speaking at the first major press conference for this year’s WCMF Cuffy said, “We are working together to ensure we have all our event protocols in place”. He went on to say the organization will be working with members of the local entertainment industry, who possess the qualifications and experience to ensure a successful WCMF 2017.
