DFP President Johnson Boston congratulates the top four Calypsonians in Dominica’s 2018 Calypso Finals

​President of the Dominica Freedom Party Johnson Boston has extended congratulations to the top four Calypsonians, who were victorious in Dominica’s Calypso Finals, on 10th February 2018. Boston says he was pleased with the level of performance provided by the 2018 Calypso Monarch King Bobb, 1strunner-up Dice, 2nd runner-up Tasha P and 3rd runner-up The Sye.

Meantime, Boston has commended the organizers of the Dominica’s 2018 Carnival Celebrations. However, he emphasized the need for better organization of the events, as well as upgrading the aesthetics of the carnival route that was used.

Meantime, Boston has condemned the level of violence which was displayed during Dominica’s 2018 Carnival Celebrations.
 
According to sources, Q95 news can confirm that four people were shot on Tuesday evening in Wesley. Reports indicate one man is in critical condition; He was shot in the right rib, neck and head. He has been taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital. The other three individuals are not in critical condition but are nursing injuries as well.
 
Boston says this type of violence does not encourage advancement of the tourist sector and calls on relevant authorities to provide better security, and champions the population to be conscious of their actions.
