The Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project (DVRP) has reportedly begun pre-engineering and design services for the East Coast road works. The DVRP in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works will repair 43.3 Km of road from the Pond Case roundabout to castle Bruce, and Castle Bruce to Hatton Garden and Petite Soufriere respectively. Officials say the designs for the road will cost in excess of US$1Million. The execution period for the contract is approximately 11 months.
The East Coast Roads Rehabilitation is funded by the World Bank and the Government of Dominica.
