Q95 news can confirm that On Thursday 10th, 2019, the Dominica Amateur Radio Club Inc. (DARCI) held its annual general meeting where a new executive was elected for a one-year term. The newly elected executive members and their Q codes are as follows:
Roger Blanchard (J73R) – President, Clement Pierre-Louis (J73CPL) - Vice President, Hilkiah Lavinier (J73HGL) – Secretary, Gordon Royer (J73GAR) – Treasurer, Eric Cognet (J73EJC) - Anniversary chairperson, Rudolph George (J72RG) - Fund raising chairperson, John Christian (J73CC) - Education chairperson, Clement James (J73CI) - Operation & Maintenance chairperson, Earl Williams (J73EW) - Field day chairperson, Gilbert George (J72GPG) - Assistant Secretary Treasurer J73HGL Hilkiah Lavinier - Secretary, J72GPG Gilbert George - Asst. Secretary/Treasurer, J73R Roger Blanchard - President, J73CPL Clement Pierre-Louis - Vice President, J73EW Earl Williams – Field day J72RG Rudolph George - Fund Raising, J73CI Clem James - Ops & Maintenance, J73EJC Eric Cognet - Anniversary, J73CC - John Christian – Education, and J73GAR Gordon Royer – Treasurer. The Q-code was originally instituted at the Radiotelegraph Convention held in London, 1912 and was intended for marine radiotelegraph use. Mr. Blanchard thanked those present and solicited the members for their continued support and commitment in advancing amateur radio in Dominica & the Dominica Amateur Radio Club Incorporated in particular. DARCI holds its general membership meetings on the second Thursday of every month at 5pm at its club site at the Canefield East housing scheme. Members and visitors alike are invited.
