Dominica National Women Football team ends 2018 CFU Challenge Series with a convincing victory4/24/2018 The Bouyon ladies beat St Vincent convincingly on Sunday afternoon at Warner Park in St. Kitts by a score of 3-0 in their final game of the 2018 the Caribbean Football Challenge series. The St Vincent Ladies National Football team held the fired up Dominican ladies to a score of 0-0 at half time. The Dominicans had several opportunities to score but were caught off side-on at least 5 occasions in the first half when their strikers were in clear view of the St Vincent net.
Soon after the second half began in the 51st minute, the youngster Sari Finn gave her team its first goal of the tournament when she found the back of the St. Vincent net with a beautiful right flicker off an Arial pass from her left winger. This resulted in the Dominican bench, players and supporters erupting in dance and celebration. The second goal came in in the 61st minute when Chazelle Philip banged the ball from outside the 18-yard line. In the 69th minute, the Dominicans found the net again off the boot of striker Kasika Samuel. By time the lights came on, the Bouyon ladies had sent a loud and clear message that they will be ready for the CONCACAF Women’s Qualifier tournament in Trinidad from May 19 to the 26th. In the second match St Kitts beat St Vincent 2 - 0. The hosts scored off a penalty kick in the 6th minute, and then off a controversial goal late in the first half.
