Dominican Shannah Robin reminisces about his time playing sports at home, emphasizing how it was a festive time, but he questions where has the enthusiasm and the champions gone for today’s generation

The founder and creator of the Universal Martial Arts School, Professor Shannah Robin, recounts his earlier years when he was actively involved in sports. Nonetheless, he notes that Dominica has experienced a sharp decline in the sports field. Professor Robin went into specifics, remembering his time playing sports with the local communities around the island and emphasizing how it was a festive time.

He goes on to say that we previously had major players in the sports of football and basketball, and he wonders where they are now. He claims that some of our former champions have just faded into obscurity since no encouragement was given to move them further, as, for instance, Jamaica and other neighboring islands would do for their own.
