Dominica’s government says it is building a 10 Megawatt geothermal plant to provide cheaper energy, but consumers should be aware of energy-efficient imported goods before making purchases
General manager of the Dominica Solid Waste Management Corporation Florian Mitchel, stresses that the government of Dominica is working to build a 10 Megawatt geothermal plant to provide cheaper energy, allowing the manufacturing sector to create more goods & commodities for less. He says producing energy is expensive and the consumer will be charged for it.
However, he believes it is important for consumers to be aware of the level of energy-efficiency of the imported goods. He believes that those are actions that customers may take in order to better enlighten themselves before making purchases.
