DSC Board Chairman asks incoming students to take full advantage of available access to education8/29/2017 Incoming students at the Dominica State College have been called upon to take advantage of the readily available access to education. That call came from the Chairman of the board of governors of the Dominica State College Dr Ian Lambert. Lambert was speaking at the opening ceremony for the orientation activities at the school's auditorium Monday. Close to 700 new students are participating in this week's orientation activities at the Dominica State College. Dominica State College Board of Governors Chairman Dr Ian Lambert Meantime, Registrar and Dean of Academic Affairs Dr Schuyler Esprit said the college's mission is in sync with the government's plan towards the development of the country's human resource. DSC Registrar and Dean of Academic Affairs Dr Schuyler Esprit Director of Student Services at the Dominica State College Edgar Hunter has urged new students to take part in this week's orientation. Orientation is a weeklong series of programs to welcome new students, and ease their transition from secondary school into the Dominica State College. It includes opportunities to meet key administrators, faculty and staff members, as well as to attend workshops, presentations and sporting and social activities that will help the new students acclimate to life at DSC. During this time, students will learn about the college's policies, programs and resources and register for classes. This year, the orientation will take an entirely new format, where students are expected to attend a number of workshops and presentations from 8:30am - 4pm daily, for the entire week.
