ENT Specialist Dr. Irving ‘IP’ Pascal shares his professional insight on the illusion called power. Pascal describes power and its effects as somewhat of a feel-good drug that over time, becomes highly addictive and takes over the user.
Dr. Pascal says that this is something that everyone in positions of authority needs to be aware and at guard against.
He says it speaks to one’s make-up and somewhat describes who we are as an individual.
He says we as people get so accustomed to this illusion that before we know it, it takes control of us.
Dr IP also spoke on the effect of the power consumed leader on the people, in that itgives rise to a fear of speaking out, because that is perceived as a reflection of the people at different levels.
