The donation is part of the EU's 10th EDF Project aimed at strengthening law enforcement and border security in the Regional Security System Member States.
National Security minister Rayburn Blackmoore spoke at the handing over ceremony.
Meanwhile Dominica is said to be set to benefit from a program geared at tackling the concern of high incarceration levels and pre-trial detention in the Caribbean. The program is valued at 14million euros.
European Union Delegate to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Luca Pierantoni says the program will be presented to the EU member states for endorsement shortly. Pierantoni noted that the Caribbean has the highest pre-trial detention rate in the world.
