Darren Silver and Shelley Silver of Trinidad are partnering to facilitate exports of Dominica’s fresh fruits. Steve Laronde, better known for his musical background, was a guest speaker on Q95fm Radio’s “Talk on the Block”, along with Darren and his wife Shelley. Laronde explained that after Hurricane Maria, the ability to transport fresh produce to neighbouring islands was almost impossible, due to the damage inflicted on the main transporting vessel in Roseau, and thereby forcing the vast majority of farmers, hucksters and others to make Portsmouth their main shipping access port. Laronde says he has made contact with investors who are willing to fill the void left in the Roseau area. Business woman Shelly silver from Trinidad is one of the main figures in the process of restoration of Shipping services. Shelley and her husband Darren Silver are partnering to make this vision a reality. They are both said to be actively involved in imports and exports in the fishing industry. She went on to describe the capacity of the vessel and the amount of service it may be able to provide to Dominica. Business woman Shelly Silver from Trinidad
