Financial Consultant says Dominica’s economy will likely soon collapse under the current DLP Government

Financial Consultant and Former MP for the Soufriere Constituency, Frederick Baron, says the DLP Government in reality cannot afford to give any salary increase to Public Servants, because it has mishandled the economy, which now shows all the signs of an imminent collapse, in the not too distant future.
 
However, Baron says the DLP Government will eventually promise an increase for their own political survival, even if they cannot Honor the payments, because the Dominican Economy is on brink to collapse.
 
Baron predicts that the DLP Government will call early elections before the economy begins to actually collapse, otherwise they will have no chance of winning any general election, because the people will turn against them, once they see their personal situation dramatically worsen, as the collapse begins to take effect on their lives.

Meanwhile, Baron is disappointed with the mismanagement of Dominica and its economy, resulting from what he describes as the DLP Administration’s “Lazy style of Government”
 
Baron says the opportunities for boosting the economy are there, however, the DLP and its Leader Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit have chosen to almost exclusively rely on money for the country’s economy, via sales of the countries citizenship, and through grant funding, rather than by developing the country’s production sectors, human resources and international trading potentials.
