Financial Crime Consultant and blogger, Kenneth Rijock, says he will not be deterred by any lawsuit filed against him by the Government of Dominica. In a recent blog, Rijock is said to have alleged that the Kingdom of Morocco’s Ambassador to Dominica, Mohamed Benjilany, visited Dominica recently, and held meetings Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit. Rijock is also said to have alleged that subsequent to those meetings, Benjilany acquired and departed Dominica with thousands of blank official Dominica passports. However, Q95 is unable to independently verify the factual correctness of any of these allegations. And in response to Rijock’s allegations, Attorney Anthony Astaphan had this to say; After listening to the statements of Anthony Astaphan, Rijock insists that his information on Dominica’s economy, its Government, and its Citizenship by Investment Program, are all credible. He added that frivolous exchange of a country’s citizenship to wealthy shady individuals, presents a danger to nations of the entire Western Hemisphere. Rijock told Q95 FM, he is not afraid of the Government of Dominica or its legal team; and filing lawsuits will only encourage him to investigate deeper, and continue to report on the way in which the Government handles the affairs of the country. “I stand by my story,” he stated. “If Attorney Astaphan wishes to file a law suit against me, that is his right, but he had better clearly identify his client as the plaintiff.” Meanwhile, Rijock says he has no affiliation with any of the three political parties in Dominica.
Rijock says his work and his articles are all based on factual information from reliable sources, and he emphasized that his only interest is in reporting facts, not propaganda.
