Fmr UN Ambassador Crispin Gregoire calls on Government to condemn Anthony Astaphan’s divisiveness11/1/2017 Former Dominican Ambassador to the United Nations and Chief Executive Officer of ‘We are Dominica Inc’ (WAD) Crispin Gregoire, is disappointed in the recent divisive negative statements uttered by Attorney Anthony Astaphan. Astaphan made insulting statements about Mr Gregoire and his recent appearance at a press conference which was held at the United Nations Office in New York recently. In an interview with the media, Gregoire referred to Astaphan as an “Arched racist.” It is reported that in recent times Astaphan referred to four African countries, namely: Nigeria, Western Sahara, South Africa, and Algeria as very corrupt. Gregoire is also calling on Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit to confirm whether Attorney Anthony Astaphan truly speaks on his behalf, as the statements made by Astaphan in recent times, sends a negative message to these four powerful African countries. The Former Dominican ambassador also spoke to Q95 FM on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gregoire is calling for unification from all Dominican Officials and Dominicans living at home and abroad.
DLP attorney Anthony Astaphan is on record as publicly encouraging Government and Prime Minister Skerrit, not to work in collaboration with the Parliamentary Opposition, in post hurricane Maria restoration. Gregoire says such actions will not benefit the country’s reconstruction, and he is calling for a bipartisan approach towards recovery and redevelopment efforts in Dominica.
