Fmr UN Ambassador Crispin Gregoire wants Government to embrace an effective Diaspora policy

​Former Dominican Ambassador to the United Nations, Crispin Gregoire, has expressed very high recognition and regard for Dominica’s Diaspora.
 
Gregoire says time and time again the Diaspora has proven its effectiveness and loyalty, in helping to support the Dominican economy, through various means and activities.
 
Gregoire emphasized the need for Government to establish or embrace an effective Diaspora policy, which engages Dominica’s living abroad, to significantly assist in the development of Dominica.

​Meanwhile, Gregoire says he was appalled to learn the most recent divisive strategy used by the DLP Government, in the recently held Donors conference held from 20th to 21st November 2017, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
 
According to Gregoire, the delegation of the Dominican Government informed the Caricom organizing Committee, that Dominica’s Diaspora were coming to the conference to disrupt the high level meeting.
 
Gregoire says this misconduct by the Government delegation, blocked many of Dominica’s Diaspora Leaders from attending the conference.
