Former Attorney General Bernard Wiltshire believes crime happens in certain contexts, & will thrive in a society that lacks aims& community cohesion, especially where there is a government that does not care
On the issue of crime and violence, Attorney Bernard Wiltshire believes crime is something that happens in context.
Wiltshire said the causes of crime should be searched in the aims of a society. Hemade reference to a society that is based on inequality, and noted the impact globalization has had on the cohesion of the Caribbean.
According to Wiltshire, in addition to a society apparently lacking an aim and community cohesion, there is a government that does not care.
Wiltshire stated that the kind of capitalist society Dominica has become, is of no good to the country.
