Former Dominican Ambassador to the United Nations Crispin Gregoire responds to Trump’s Racist Slur1/15/2018 Former Dominica Ambassador to the United Nations Crispin Gregoire has sought to defend African Countries, Haiti and El Salvador, against the racist slur of the United States President, Donald Trump. Some of Mr Trump's policies have caused uproar in the region, including his most recent decision to remove residency permits for thousands of Salvadorian, Haitian and Nicaraguan immigrants, who are now living in the United States following natural disasters in their home countries Gregoire says he is grossly disappointed in the US President for his lack of decorum, and for stooping so low on such important issues. The former Ambassador is urging leaders in the region, and all African countries, to protect their citizens against the Trump Immigration Policy. Meantime, Gregoire wants Dominica’s leaders to implement the recommendations stipulated in the outcome document of the SAMOA Small Island Developing States conference. The former Ambassador says the unity of various skill sets across the political divide is crucial to building a resilient economy. Gregoire also stressed the importance of developing the Farming community, and strengthening the structure of Agriculture in Dominica, in order to achieve success. The Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS Conference), was held from 1st to 4th September 2014, in Samoa.
