Letang told Q95 FM on Friday, that main factor for this protest is due to the procrastination by the port authorities on salary negotiations for the period 2014 to 2016. According to reports the port workers have staged a sickout today, after meeting with their union on Thursday. The DPSU General Secretary says on 12th March 2018, he went to visit the General Manager of the Woodbridge Bay port based on the time of his appointment. He says the General Manager never showed up and his staff could not inform of his whereabouts.
