Grenadian born attorney Arley Gill who serves as a magistrate in Dominica, has decided, against renewing his contract. Gill, a former National Democratic Congress (NDC) government minister in Grenada, presided over the magistrate’s court in the north of Dominica, and sat in the Roseau court once a month. Glen Ducreay, an attorney who frequently appeared before Magistrate Gill said, "He exercised a very high degree of professionalism, objectivity and impartiality in deciding his cases. One of the things that I always admired about him, is that he decided his cases based on the law, by applying the law to the facts." Ducreay also complimented Gill for his ability to move cases quickly. At a parting-ceremony held in his honour in the Portsmouth Magistrate, Gill said he was satisfied that he administered justice in Dominica fairly and impartially.
