High Court Judge, Victoria Charles-Clarke today summoned Police Chief Daniel Carbon or his Deputy to the court, to answer as to why no police officers were present for the High Court session this morning. The High Court opened today following two days of carnival. The court had to deal with a number of matters, but those proceedings had to be suspended, as no police officers reported for court duty. Judge Victoria Charles-Clarke was furious, and stated that the court was not properly constituted today, and that was disrespectful. She said "I find it disrespectful that not one officer is present, and no superior officer is present to apologize." It is protocol that police officers are present during court proceedings to provide security. Court Reporter, Carlisle Jno Baptiste, has more details. Information reaching Q95 news at this time indicate that this no-show may be as a result of strike action by the police. Meanwhile, according to Jno Baptiste, Police Officers who did not report to the Court resulted in the postponement of a number of important cases, and a waste of the magistrate’s time. Jno Baptiste confirmed that court hearings have been rescheduled to today Friday 3rd March 2017 at 9am. Jno Baptiste stated further:
