​Founder of the International Football Experience and UEFA-licensed coach Christopher Saul recently detailed the profound impact of sports mentorship and strategic educational pathways during an appearance on “Creole Heartbeat”. Reflecting on his career as a former professional athlete, Saul highlighted the critical role mentors play in identifying potential in young individuals who may not yet see it in themselves.
 
He shared that his personal journey serves as a lesson in prioritizing healthcare & education, noting that he is currently undergoing hip surgery due to injuries sustained twenty years ago after initially refusing medical procedures that universities would have provided. Transitioning from his playing days into global advocacy, Saul noted his extensive work across South America & the Caribbean, including Colombia, Antigua, Dominica, and Trinidad and Tobago—where he actively assists student-athletes in navigating the complex transition to collegiate systems.
 
Saul emphasized that cost-effectiveness must remain the absolute priority when guiding families through the recruitment process, arguing against sending students to institutions that demand exorbitant fees like $30,000 annually. He strongly advocated for the junior college system as a highly effective & accessible route for international prospects.Addressing young students, Saul urged those in form five to focus entirely on completing their secondary education as highly as possible, explaining that finishing this stage provides a vital gateway to entering the United States collegiate system. Saul underscored that his mission revolves around serving as a consistent, dependable mentor who breaks down barriers and simplifies the path to higher education for the next generation of regional athletes.
