It does not seem as if the announcement of the elections date was done in a manner which was planned or intended in the first place, it might have been rushed, says political scientist Alex Bruno. Bruno was giving his professional opinion on the decision of the prime minister to call elections December 6, 2019. Bruno proposes that the competing parties in the upcoming general elections need to come hard and prepare themselves for what is considered to be one of the most crucial elections in Dominica’s history. He says the idea of not participating should not be considered, though the grounds by which it is held may not appear to be just, but one must actively participate. Mr. Bruno also noted that the prime minister’s emphasis on is one that comes with a dubious or quizzical nature. He says that instead of calling for peace, one must be calling for justice, and once cannot have peace without justice. Political Scientist, Alex Bruno
