Jolly’s Pharmacy has embarked upon a new initiative to reenergize interest in Agriculture, and to emphasize its importance to Dominica’s economy and society. Jolly’s is partnering with the St Mary’s Academy’s Agriculture Program dubbed, ‘the St Mary Academy Food Co-operative project,’ which will run for two years. In a launching ceremony held at the Prevost Cinemall on Friday, PRO of Jolly’s Pharmacy Carlton Languedoc said Jolly’s Pharmacy’s collaboration with SMA is the first of its kind, and pledged the company’s support to the school’s program. Languedoc says the project aims to promote Agriculture Business Ventures to students. 25 students who major in business from the 4th and 5th form classes, will make up the participants in this project. SMA received a generous donation of EC $7,500 dollars from Jolly’s Pharmacy. Carlton Languedoc has more details. PRO of Jolly’s Pharmacy Carlton Languedoc Meanwhile, Principal of the St. Mary Academy (SMA) Thomas Holmes says the school has already identified personnel within the Agriculture Sector, who will assist in the development of the institution’s agriculture program dubbed, ‘the St Mary Academy Food Co-operative project.’ Holmes expressed thanks to Jolly’s Pharmacy for partnering with the SMA to make this project a reality. He added that the SMA will not let Jolly’s Pharmacy’s contribution of EC 7,500 dollars go in vain.
