Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dominica made history after successful participation at the 59th JCI West Indies National Convention, an annual event which this year was hosted by JCI Port of Spain.
Dominica had a delegation of seven (7) members attend the convention and competed in debate and public speaking competitions against Jaycee members from within the West Indies. JCI Dominica places focus on ensuring and encouraging participation in development opportunities for its members, and thus proudly supported as Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Syra Clarke and Jaycess Dervon Laurent, Aquenel Victorine and Cassie Archibald all represented the organization and country admirably. The convention also saw JCI Dominica selected via bidding process as the host for the 61st National Convention to be held in 2021. This is the first time in decades Dominica has been selected and will serve as a great boost for the organization and the economy of Dominica. Young active citizens from eight (8) islands that make up JCI West Indies as well as Senators & International JCI Officers will converge to discover Dominica’s natural beauty & culture while conducting the official business of JCI West Indies.
