KFC Team ‘Project Book Bag’ donates school necessities to three more Primary Schools in Dominica9/14/2017 KFC continues to reach out to the communities it serves every day. Since the initiation of this program in 2014, KFC's Project Book Bag platform has been providing a quality school bag filled with back to school necessities such as exercise books, pencils, water bottle, lunch bag and other stationary items, to Primary Schools students.
Project Book Bag is a part of KFC’s long-term corporate commitment to give back to the communities, with a goal of providing a school bag to all Primary School students in Dominica. Every year 2 to 3 schools are selected to be the beneficiaries of these essential school items, which aim to ensure that the students are bestowed with the necessary stationary items needed to start the school year. This year the students from the Campbell, Mahaut and Warner Primary Schools are recipients of bags containing some key school items needed for the school year. KFC Restaurant General Manager Leandra Henderson said “we at KFC are simply delighted to be able to make this contribution towards the learning and cultivation of our future Leaders; Doctors, Nurses, Business Men and Women and future employees of KFC”. She encouraged the students to learn as “education is the cornerstone of society, and the only way students can have a better future for themselves and their families, and make a meaningful contribution to the growth and development of their country”. Meantime Principle of the Warner Primary School Mr Bertrand, expressed his gratitude “on behalf of the students, teachers and parents of the school, by conveying heartfelt thanks to KFC.
