Mr Linton who was speaking on the ‘Talk on the Block’ program on Monday, was addressing statements made by the Montreal Management CEO in response to his budget presentation in the Parliament, when he made it clear that he is representing the people who elected him, and as a result, his questioning of matters which deal with the revenue and expenditure performance of central government, is being done on behalf of the people. Linton questioned the relationship between Montreal Management, Government & revenues in question. Taking into consideration that there are only two options to apply with the CBI, real estate and EDF, and statements made by the minister of finance who said there is a special dispensation for Montreal which is under the title of “housing”. Quoting the prime minister, Linton showed where the prime minister stated that the housing program is doing better than both the EDF, symbolizing the power of Montreal Management. Linton then shared the response he received in his capacity as chairman of the public accounts committee, when he asked for information on these accounts related to the CBI program, which was that he has no authority to ask a question without permission.
