The Mahaut Constituency Roof repair & Housing Expansion Program saw a further injection of $3.8Million. Parliamentary Representative for the Mahaut constituency Rayburn Blackmoore says in the first phase $2Million was received, and in addition to that a number of persons were provided with building materials. In making the cheque presentation to the Mahaut Village Council last week, he says because materials were provided - his ministry was able to subtract the material cost from the overall cost resulting in savings of almost $1M. Blackmoore says in this year's financial budget cycle provisions are being made for a Housing Development Project in Jimmit and Massacre, with Canefield also be looked at.
