Members of Parliament met today to amend a few Acts of Parliament. Minister for Climate Resilience and the Environment, Joseph Isaac, presented in Parliament today, specifically on the proposed Offshore Banking (Amendment Bill) 2019, to be considered, based on the current report made public by the OECD, which has blacklisted Dominica, based on what the organization refers to as the mishandling of the CBI, specifically in terms of transparency and tax matters. The International Business Company Amendment Act 2019, The Offshore Banking (Amendment Bill) 2019, the Fiscal Incentives Amendment Act and the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (Common Reporting Standard) Act, were all read for the first time, in Parliament. Isaac continued further to elaborate on the amendments brought by the DLP administration on the Offshore Banking (Amendment Bill) 2019.
