MP Joshua Francis prepared for any intent by Dominica Police to arrest him or take him into custody2/15/2017 Roseau South MP Joshua Francis, says he is not fearful of any intention by Dominica police to arrest him, or to take him into custody. Some two years ago, opposition MP Danny Lugay was arrested and charged for inciting violence. Police have recently been arresting opposition members, after a riot erupted in the city of Roseau, several hours after a peaceful protest by opposition parties UWP and DFP ended last Tuesday. Last week, Police took Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) executive member Dr Sam Christian into custody, and charged him with inciting violence, based on a statement that he is alleged to have made in 2015. Opposition Senator Dr Thomson Fontaine was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon, and released on Monday without any charge being brought against him. Former UWP Deputy Leader Claudius Sanford was taken into custody at 5:30 am today, for questioning by police, for unknown reasons. Roseau South MP Joshua Francis says he is not hiding and he has no fear of any police intent to arrest him, or to take him into custody, because he has done nothing wrong. Meanwhile, Francis is urging persons who stand against unrighteousness not to become discouraged, and to continue to stand for what is right.
