NBD celebrating 40 years until December under the theme ‘A Legacy of Service, a pursuit of excellence’

​The National Bank of Dominica (NBD) earlier known as the National Development Bank of Dominica, will celebrate 40 years of service from this week until December 2018, under the theme "A Legacy of Service, a pursuit of excellence."
 
Managing Director of the National Bank of Dominica Ellingworth Edwards says the NBD has both directly and indirectly affected the lives of all Dominicans.

Meantime Chairman of the Board of Directors at the NBD Anthony John says the NBD is committed to playing its part in building a more climate resilient country post Hurricane Maria.

​The NBD began its celebrations with a special service at the Fatima Church in Newtown Tuesday afternoon.
 
A community day where staff will undertake 10 community projects across the island will take place on Thursday, and customer appreciation day will take place on Friday.

Meantime, Chairman of the National Bank of Dominica Anthony John says the bank's 40th anniversary calls for a moment of reflection.
He says the bank is established to change the economic landscape and make financial products and services available to all citizens.
According to him, the bank holds more than 60% of the market share in both deposits, loans and advances.
