NDFD Kicks off its Creole in the Streets beginning Friday 18th October 2019. This year will the 5th anniversary of this event brining the creole vibe to the people of Dominica showcasing Dominica’s creativity and culture with a unique vibe. Chairperson of the NDFD Ms. Floria Fontain says that the intention is building a market for locals to not only showcase their products also creating avenues for export. She says there are number of activities that are going to be taking place as well, visits from school to inspire the younger generation, and show them the tremendous opportunities available in local products. 45 enterprises will be taking part in this year’s event. Committee member, Ms. Juanita Casey, said the island is rich with natural products and they are trying to help businesses secure a wider local and international market. She added, that CITS is an event that the NDFD hosts for their clients, potential, clients and even non-clients, in order to showcase their products and services, and help find export markets for their local products, such as essential oils, lip balms, and natural hair products among others. Participants are being encouraged to arm themselves with their business cards, and be prepared to speak about their products. The event will take place on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 8 am to 8 pm on Great Marlborough Street between Digicel and First Caribbean Bank.
