Some tough mindboggling questions have been asked by the Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition in Dominica, Lennox Linton, and DFP Leader Kent Vital, since the presentation of the sitting Finance Minister’s National Budget Address on 31st July 2019. Lennox Linton has stood out by bringing out some major inaccuracies in the Dominica Labour Party Administration’s National budget, and the revenues that remain accounted for, under the Country’s Citizenship by Investment Program. Addressing the media at a UWP press Conference at the Prevo Cinemall last week, Linton revealed one of his personal experiences with a foreign national who acquired Dominican Citizenship through the CBI program. He said, based on that persons statement, it appears that the CBI program will require enhanced oversight so that native citizens of the country are not cheated out of their democracy. The Marigot MP continued further, challenging the DLP administration which currently forms the government of Dominica and Dr Hayden Anthony of Montreal Management Consultants Establishment (MMCE), to provide full public disclosure of the extent of the company’s involvement in the country’s CBI program.
