UWP Leader Lennox Linton says his letter to President Charles Savarin was truthful and factual, as regards the state of governance in Dominica requiring urgent action from the lawful authority responsible for protecting the nation. In a letter to President Charles Savarin on 9th March 2017, the UWP sought urgent action from the Head of State in dismissing PM Roosevelt Skerrit and his Cabinet from their offices in Government. But the President in a response to the Opposition Leader, described the letter as filled with accusations and allegations against the Prime Minister. In response to President Savarin, Linton said the President's letter was engineered to put the UWP in bad light. He further stated that President Savarin has failed to address the systematic destruction of the country's international image triggered by PM Roosevelt Skerrit "corrupt agenda". He called on the President to act decisively in the public interest. Meanwhile, Linton says he has been reflecting on the series of political events, which have led to the economic collapse of Dominica. Linton says deliberate acts by people government to enrich themselves while depriving the citizenry of their independence, is unconstitutional. Linton is also expressing concern over the DLP’s campaign strategy, and its adhoc distribution of CBI funds to select communities in Dominica.
