Organizers of the #Dominica Independence Social Media Campaign are calling for the support of Dominicans

​Organizers of the #Dominica Independence social media campaign Meria Alexis, Monelle Alexis, Kerry Severin, Taihisa Hill – Guye, Yuri Jones, and Clint Henderson, are calling on Dominicans to support their campaign.
 
The group says the #Dominica Independence social media campaign, is intended to celebrate Dominica’s 39 years of Independence on social media. Team Hash tag Dominica, comprising of a few patriotic Dominicans living abroad, and a few others residing in Dominica, decided to run an independence social media campaign, to get the Caribbean and the rest of the world to celebrate Dominica’s 39 years of Independence.
 
On November 3rd, 2017, the group will be carrying out a social media campaign to swamp social media with #Dominica, to celebrate 39 years of independence. The intent of this campaign is to encourage everyone to use #Dominica on that day on all post and across all social media platforms.  The posts could be anything showcasing Dominica’s Creole and independence celebration or anything Dominica.
 
This campaign seeks to get the rest of the Caribbean and the world to rally around Dominica to celebrate 39 years of Independence. This campaign is also being carried out to give Dominicans in Dominica a little hope and something to look forward to, during this tough time. The group says ‘We may not be able to celebrate our independence as grand as in the past years, but we will celebrate it with the help of our friends and families all around the world. We ask that all Dominicans, the rest of the Caribbean and the world, to support this campaign and help us celebrate our independence on November 3rd, 2017.
