Parliamentary Opposition Leader Lennox Linton reveals the murderous intention behind DLP parliamentarians & their Police contingent in Parliament on Wednesday

Parliamentary Opposition, Lennox Linton, reveals that because of his team’s decision to protest the Speakers decision to accept the motion moved by DLP Senator Cassani Laville, which requested a significant reduction of the Opposition Leader’s time for rebuttal to the Prime Minister’s Budget address, the lives of members of the opposition were threatened.

The facts are as follows: ‘this all happened as a form of revenge against Lennox Linton in a petty display initiated by Junior Senator Cassani Laville who moved this petty motion, that the opposition leader’s rebuttal time be reduced from 150 minutes to 30 minutes, in order to appease Minister of Finance Roosevelt Skerrit’. Linton attended the sitting of parliament for most part on July 28th 2021, and left before the finance minister gave his Budget address. It must be noted that Skerrit over the past 6 years has left parliament every time Linton gave his rebuttal to Skerrit’s National Budget Address.
 
Linton went on to further reveal that his team was threatened by a senior Police Officer in the Parliament. The Officer was heard speaking to other officers in Parliament and said, “Should you the Opposition members insider here touch one of us, we will just kill you all!”. The Dominica Freedom Party has also concluded that from yesterday’s behavior of the DLP Parliamentarians, the Speaker of the House, the Special Services Unit, and the Dominica Police Service, to date, ‘this is one of the worst behaviors displays of high-ranking members of the Police Service and Special Services Unit! The UWP says under the current Labor Party Leadership, Dominica is quickly becoming an oligarchy and a one-party state, with every passing day.’
