Police Chief Daniel Carbon has disclosed that investigations into the discovery of firearms and ammunition found in a barrel at Woodbridge Bay Port last year, are now being led by United states law officials. The seizure was made by the police working in conjunction with United States law enforcement during an operation conducted on Friday 30th September 2016. Police say the barrel had also contained some grocery items. Carbon said the United States officials will act on the information which has been gathered by local investigators. The firearms seized were 5 torus pistols, 1 telti pistol, 5 torus revolvers and 1 Rossi revolver. A 9M volt stunt gun was also seized. 180 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, 250 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 300 rounds of .38 ammunition and 100 rounds of .357 ammunition were also seized. Additionally, 3 magazines of sub-machine gun rounds, one 7 round, one 12 round, and one 29 round, were taken by police.
