Managing Director for CGM Gallagher Insurance Brokers Barbados & Eastern Caribbean, Scott Stollmeyer announced that following two category 5 hurricanes which decimated several destinations in the Caribbean in September, Hoteliers in those hurricane ravaged countries should expect a hike in premium costs between 10% and 40%. Stollmeyer made that announcement while speaking at a Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Webinar in early November, dubbed; ‘Hotel Property Insurance After The Storms.’ PPOD Leader Sapphire Carrington is advising hoteliers within the Dominica Hotelier & Tourism Association to find creative ways in which they can strategically spread cost, throughout their services, without appearing to be too costly for their clients.
