Durand says although he may be painted as a prophet of ‘doom and gloom’, that is the reality of Dominica. He made his comments over the weekend on the program ‘Patriots’ Voices on Q’. Durand also revealed he has always understood the National Employment Program (NEP) as a stopgap measure for young people. Not crying down the means of income for some individuals, Durand stated, ‘it stifles development’. President of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Loftus Durand Meantime, CCM Executive Member, John Blanchard, appeals to the public to donate funds to an upcoming electoral reform rally carded for 30th June. Blanchard described the rally as ‘the beginning of thing to come’. CCM executive member, John Blanchard Meantime, Durand says it is a call for free and fair election. Durand added, ‘the wheels of democracy most turn and we are not on the path of a true and vibrant democracy.’ CCM president, Loftus Durand.
